All-Natural Chocolate Recipe

Hello friends! It’s been awhile since my last post, and I promise there’s a good reason! I am expecting Baby #2, and the first trimester took a toll on me. But I’m back!

As some of you may know, being pregnant = cravings and hunger 247…at least for me. One things I love is chocolate {who doesn’t}. A friend of mine recently posted an all-natural chocolate recipe on his Facebook page that is super easy to make and ohhh so delicious.

I recently tried it, and Prince Charming and I had eaten all the chocolate by Day 2.

What You’ll Need:

1 c. organic, extra virigin coconut oil {not the kind you buy at WalMart}
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 to 1/2 c. raw honey, according to your taste
a blender

What You’ll Do:

Put ingredients into your blender and blend until fluffy. Using coconut oil, grease an ice cube tray, a silicone pan or a plastic container. Pour the liquid chocolate into your container. If desired, add add nuts, dried fruit or natural peanut butter. Put in the freezer for 30 minutes. Take out and remove from container, and store in a Ziplock in freezer.

The chocolate needs to be stored in the freezer because coconut oil has a melting point of 76 degrees. So, if left out, the chocolate will melt. You can, of course, keep it in liquid form and drink it 🙂 or use it as a chocolate syrup over ice cream….YUM!

Enjoy your chocolate journey!

And PS – check out my friend’s Facebook page. He’s lost over 100 pounds just by getting of processed foods.
